The Gathering launches at The Samling
The Samling is delighted to announce the opening of their new relaxed dining experience, ‘The Gathering’.
Located in the beautiful Dutch barn just a stone’s throw from the main hotel. It perches on the edge of The Samling’s woodland and rolling garden meadows, sweeping down to the gentle waters of Lake Windermere with Wray Castle in the distance.
The menus offer fresh, seasonal ingredients, each dish created by Head Chef Bart Lagocki and his team – including truffled corn-fed chicken, locally reared Herdwick lamb, Hen of the Woods and more. Wine stories frame The Gathering with its own innovative wine list designed to be enjoyed in these relaxed and welcoming surroundings.
Enjoy pre lunch and dinner drinks alfresco on The Gatherings own decked area. When ready venture inside to be warmly welcomed by Manager Norbet Matis and his restaurant team, take your seat and admire the undisturbed lake and fell views which envelop guests in the Cumbrian countryside.
