SABZI DELI CELEBRATES 5 YEARS AND LAUNCHES ONLINE STORE
London, November 2024: Deli restaurant group Sabzi has launched an online store in time for the festive season, enabling customers who can’t make it into store, to now shop a selection of products via Sabzi’s website, which can be shipped nationally.
The deli group, which celebrates 5 years this month, brings a taste of the Middle East to Cornwall, and was founded by chef owner Kate Attlee in 2019. Born and raised in Cornwall, with an Iranian father and British mother, Attlee’s Iranian heritage heavily influences the daily-changing menu at Sabzi and leads to humble, local ingredients being transformed into aromatic, fragrant, sun-soaked reminders of her father’s homeland.
The original Sabzi opened in Truro, and Attlee has since opened a further three delis in Falmouth, Padstow and Nansledan, each of which are operate year round, seven days a week.
Attlee said, “It is important to me that Sabzi serves our community here in Cornwall, but is also welcoming to visitors. We are frequently asked if we are able to send our products as gifts, or to those who can’t pop into one of our delis easily, so we are absolutely delighted to be able to offer a selection of Sabzi’s own deli products for sale through our website.
“The products, which include our spice mixes, granola and biscotti, have been developed by my me and my kitchen team, and produced in small batches, by hand, in our Falmouth kitchen. We can’t wait to help bring a little more Sabzi into people’s homes.”
The curated online offering which has launched in time for festive gifting, will also include a range of Sabzi hampers featuring a selection of Sabzi-made spices and store cupboard treats. It coincides with an expanded retail and seating / dining space at Sabzi in Truro, that will enable more guests to eat inside, whatever the weather, and also offers scope for a larger range of lifestyle and edible products to be displayed.
Attlee continued, “My team and I have been discussing for some time, what we would like to be able to offer via an online shop, and we are excited to be launching this, alongside an extended bricks and mortar retail and dining space, in our expanded Truro deli.
“I am excited that we will now have the opportunity for our products to reach a broader audience and a chance for Sabzi to reach more kitchens.”

Kate Attlee is the founder and owner of Sabzi. Kate was born and raised in Cornwall. With an Iranian father and British mother, she has been surrounded by international flavours and naturally brings this variety and originality to her cooking. After a number of years in London where Kate gained valuable training and experience in the hospitality industry at Michelin star level, she returned to Cornwall to marry and raise her family.
In 2015 Kate hosted a number of sell-out supper club events from her home in Truro, showcasing Iranian food to Cornish audiences in an intimate and informal setting.
2018 saw Kate apply and be accepted from over 3000 applicants, to appear on, and to reach the quarter finals of BBC1’s Master Chef. The experience confirmed for Kate her enduring passion for the food industry and enjoyment of cooking and serving her food to others with love, great flavour and flair.
After many sell-out events across the South West, in 2019, Kate opened Sabzi in Truro, followed by Sabzi in Falmouth in summer 2022, and sites in Padstow and Nansledan in summer and autumn 2023, respectively.

Based in Cornwall, Rising Ground is a team of dedicated coffee professionals. Its core focus is on sourcing and roasting specialty coffee to deliver exceptional flavour experiences. The team meticulously selects premium specialty-grade green coffee beans and applies carefully developed roasting profiles to ensure the highest quality in every cup.
