New Client : Marners Rock
London – July 2023 The Massey Partnership are delighted to announce that they are representing Marners Rock in Fowey.
Launched in 2020, Marners Rock comprises of three exquisite self-catering apartments located in the coastal town of Fowey, a town steeped in history in an area of outstanding natural beauty. These wonderful holiday homes are nestled on the west bank of River Fowey’s tidal estuary, with breath-taking views across the water, and are ideal bases for those looking for a comfortable, stylish home from which to enjoy the charms of Fowey and explore South Cornwall.
The apartments are family owned and run and provide the highest level of luxury accommodation to be found in the town, with stylish interiors, beds that were handcrafted by a local carpenter and a compelling collection of artwork and antiques throughout the apartments. They were created to be a home from home for guests, with four legged friends also very welcome, and it is little wonder so many of their guests return again and again to spend time in these exquisite properties.
There are three properties, all unique in character but all with the same luxurious and welcoming atmosphere, which are ideal for stays all year round.
Sleeping 2, this stylish apartment is ideal for a cosy and romantic getaway. With views across the roof tops of Fowey to Place, St Fimbarrus Church and down to the river, this is the perfect base to relax and enjoy all that Fowey has to offer. The open plan living area is light and bright, with deep filled sofa for relaxing, and a bespoke dining table in the bay window – ideal for enjoying with your morning coffee and watching the world drift by.
No 1 benefits from being step free indoors, so is ideal for guests with limited mobility. There is a connecting door to apartment No 2 upstairs for those wishing to merge the apartments into one self-contained house, and as one they can accommodate 8 guests.
The two apartments combined back into a house provide two separate living rooms and two kitchens. Together with the stylish bedrooms, the house provides the perfect holiday accommodation for two families or multi-generational groups travelling together but with the ability to provide separate areas for all.
This spacious and airy, recently refurbished 3-bedroom apartment is situated on the first and second floor of the Victorian end of terrace. The views from this wonderful home are quite unique and offer a rare chance to take in the rooftops of Fowey, the river and beyond to Polruan. Whilst the apartment enjoys all the mod-cons that a guest needs, the interiors are sympathetic to the history of the building, with rooms full of character and charm.
Outdoors there is bench seating as well as an outdoor shower for washing the sand off after a day at the beach, with ample space for coats, boots, wetsuits and more!
With three bedrooms, included the cosy Cabin room which is ideal for younger guests, No 2 is a popular base for families, who can enjoy simply breath taking views, including full height sliding doors through to a sun trap of a roof terrace, ideal for breakfast al fresco, perhaps a sundowner after the children are tucked up.
Marners Rock No 3 is an uber stylish 3-bedroom apartment that sleeps up to 6 guests. It is located at the end of Esplanade about half a mile from the centre of Fowey overlooking the mouth of the estuary and is just a short meander to Readymoney Beach, where Daphne du Maurier lived in Readymoney House during WWII and which inspired many of her best known works.
The main room of this lovely apartment is the large open plan kitchen and living room from which you can enjoy every angle of beautiful views out over the river and out to sea. In summer guests relax on the private terrace and in winter keep cosily warm inside to watch the weather rolling in, and seafarers come and go. Underfloor heating keeps the chill off in winter, with a gas fire and a huge L shaped sofa for hunkering down as the nights draw in.
Fowey
From your base at Marners Rock there is much to do in the local area. Fowey is located on the South Coast Path and All Saints Way, making it an ideal destination for those who enjoy walking and rambling. There is also ample opportunity for cycling and golf if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful beaches and lovely restaurants dotted throughout this beautiful town.
