Event organiser Oona Burch said, “We have been overwhelmed by the community’s enthusiastic response to the event, it’s clearly something that people are keen to support and get involved with.”

Event organiser Harry James-Mills added “We hope people will want to spend the whole day with us. Classes start at 10am in the wellness area followed by Yallah coffee and baked goods from micro bakeries Rosewall and the Magic Whisk. Moving onto lunch from our amazing range of hot food vendors and shopping in the Producer Tent, followed by watching some world class cookery demos in our Taste Theatre and then finishing the day off with drinks and dancing in the main bar and stage area.”

Event organiser Barney Farnworth added :“Penzance has a rich food and produce community, and we are honoured to be starting a food festival here. In alignment with our Cornish heritage values, we aim to work with, support, and promote the farmers, fishermen, producers, and chefs behind the scenes who make Penzance and Cornwall such special places to live. What better place to do this than beneath the canopies of ancient trees in Penlee Park
