Kota Kai Celebrates 20 Years of Asian Nights This October
Porthleven, Cornwall Kota Kai is excited to announce the return of its popular Asian Nights this Autumn, marking a significant milestone—20 years since the very first curry night. What began as a weekly tradition when Jude and his wife Jane ran the former Smokehouse restaurant has evolved into a cherished part of the Kota Kai experience, and this autumn, it’s back in full swing.
To celebrate two decades of flavourful memories, the first of the Asian Nights will hark back to the original Curry Nights. Expect an evening of delicious indulgence with a special menu featuring five bowls of delicious curries, all served in a traditional sharing style. Curry Nights will take place each Thursday, starting on 10th October and promise to bring back the vibrant flavours that have made Jude's Curry Nights a staple in Porthleven's foodie scene. Each night will have a different theme, from Thai, to Singapore, Chinese, Indonesian – and topping it off on 28th November with a ‘Best of Asia’.
"Our Curry Nights have always been about bringing people together over great food, and we're thrilled to celebrate 20 years of that tradition," said Jude Kereama, chef and owner of Kota Kai. "We’re taking it back to our roots with the original format of sharing bowls of curry, just like we did at the Smokehouse. It’s going to be a fantastic evening full of bold, comforting flavours."
Kota Kai’s Asian Nights are a highlight of the autumn season, offering a unique opportunity to experience a variety of authentic Asian-inspired dishes in a relaxed, coastal setting. These evenings are always highly anticipated and are known to sell out quickly. To avoid missing out advance booking is strongly recommended.
