To re-cap, the Hoxton have added to their 205 rooms with three brand new unique additions. The brief from Sinclair Beecham was to create a room that fused the line between East London edge and Urban Lodge warmth, creating a welcoming hotel room that maintained that Hoxton cool.
The three chosen designers had a free rein to do what they wanted - which had us all on the edge of our seats as to what they would come up with. Diana recently spent a night in 660, the room designed by James Soane of Project Orange and was extremely impressed. Last Friday was my turn to test out room 640, designed by Adrian Kilby of The Formation. Adrian designed the existing 205 rooms in the hotel so I was intrigued to see how the new room would vary!

It is certainly different from the original rooms with its unconventional layout and the bright artwork/colour schemes Adrian has used. The room design is quirky with its map of London around the bed, detachable lights and the way in which every appliance can be reached from the bed! It's practical yet fun - the enormous king size bed takes up the whole of the back wall with its padded surround in which you can sleep in any direction! It's so inviting you just want to curl up and hibernate for the evening, with the comfort of the Egyptian linen sheets and duck-down duvet.

The large flat screen T.V is conveniently positioned above the bed and IPod docking station in easy reach, all you need for a lazy night in unless you simply can't resist the Hoxton Grill and Bar downstairs!
It was a serious mission to leave the room come Saturday morning! I can't recommend a more, fantastic, warm, and relaxing room.
