About the Agency

The Massey Partnership was founded in 1988 by ex-advertising director Nigel Massey. The result is a PR agency with a communications strategy that is highly focused, well targeted and totally consumer aware. Based in Marylebone and specialising in Travel and Luxury Brands, The Massey Partnership uses its strong personal relationships and expertise to manage and create imaginatively executed PR campaigns that work across a broad range of media resources around the world, including particularly strong online relationships.

  • Nigel Massey

    NIGEL MASSEY, Chairman, spent 20 years working for several major international advertising agencies, including many years as Director working on British Airways, the world's biggest airline account. He specialises in strategic development and tactical campaigns for all our clients and maintains particularly close relationship with Travel and Diary Editors across the National Press and international lifestyle magazines.

  • James Massey

    JAMES MASSEY, Managing Director. James Massey started his career in communications at Nestlé as an Assistant Brand Manager. This was followed by seven years in marketing at LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), during the last four of which he was Marketing Manager for TAG Heuer watches. In 2007 he joined Finch & Partners, as Head of their Press Division and in May 2010, he established the Massey Partnership’s Luxury Goods division, focusing on providing discrete and high level one-to-one press representation to the finest brands in the world.   • Kate Chesshyre

    KATE CHESSHYRE, Head of Travel Division. Kate is currently on maternity leave. Kate joined the agency in 2010, from a senior position at a respected competitor agency and is well experienced in the development of PR campaigns across luxury hotel, tour operator and spa fields. Having worked in travel PR for the last ten years, Kate has extensive network of media and travel industry contacts in the luxury sector. Kate enjoys the strategic planning for client campaigns and coming up with original and unusual story angles.   • Virginia Webb

    VIRGINIA WEBB, Head of Travel Division. Virginia has over a decade's experience in travel and leisure PR. During this time she has launched hotels, established new destinations, created a buzz about new flight routes and coordinated networks of affiliate PR agencies around the world. She has worked with the full range of brands from global to boutique, from InterContinental Hotels Group to Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, from Tahiti Tourisme to Kent Tourism and from Air Jamaica to British Midland International. Virginia graduated in Italian and Portuguese from The University of Edinburgh.   • Diana Massey

    DIANA MASSEY, Operations Director. Diana studied English Literature at Exeter University before gaining media experience working at the Daily Mail and Condé Nast Traveller and joined the agency in 2004. As well as working closely with regional and national travel and lifestyle publications, Diana specialises in food and restaurant press, blogs, social media and has a great relationships with a wide spectrum of online publications.   • Natalie Keigher

    NATALIE KEIGHER, Account Director. Natalie is a graduate of Edinburgh University and has an MA in Philosophy. She began her career at Fraser Brand Innovation, a PR and Marketing Agency focused on brand development within the luxury goods sector. She then spent 3 years at Finch & Partners, where she directed a number of high profile fashion and luxury clients including Mark Fast, Lange & Sohne and Bremont.   • Hannah Burden

    HANNAH BURDEN, Account Manager. Hannah joins the team with over six years experience in travel PR, gained in agency and more recently a role within the TUI UK press office, looking after the Thomson and First Choice brands. During this time she has played a key role in crisis communications, facilitated the filming of a TV show for Sky, launched new hotels and cruise ships and built firm relationships with key travel press.   • Angela Appleby

    ANGELA APPLEBY, Account Director. Angela joined the Massey Partnership in September 2009 and has over six years experience in travel PR agencies with the last 4 years specialising in the luxury sector. Clients have ranged from individual hotels and hotel associations to spas, destinations and niche tour operators. She graduated from University College London and headed straight out to the French Alps where she worked for a ski season. Angela has travelled extensively, especially around South East Asia where she recently took time out to backpack around Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and the Philippines. Train travel is another great love from inter-railing around Europe to jumping on mile-long trains around India!   • Julia Pearson

    JULIA PEARSON, Senior Account Manager. Julia joined the Massey team in January 2011. After studying marketing at Newcastle University, Julia spent 12 months travelling across the globe from Africa and India through to New Zealand, South America and onwards. She gained valuable experience at London Travelwatch and Quatro before joining Massey as an Account Manager. Julia works with a wide range of publications, and is especially knowledgeable and passionate about the world of social media; she also writes for Hotel Chatter and on her own blog LondOntheinside in her spare time.   • Fleur Cazalet

    FLEUR CAZALET, PR Assistant. Fleur graduated from the Oxford Media and Business School in 2009 with an Executive PA Diploma. Since then she has worked for Lady Elizabeth Anson’s Party Planners and for the Conservative Party. She joined the agency in June 2010 as assistant to James in the Luxury Goods Division.

  • Belen Gumiel

    BELEN GUMIEL, Account Executive. Belen joined the Massey team in autumn 2011. After studying journalism and gaining experience in a radio station and a press office, she studied for her Masters Degree in Corporate Communication. She is very interested in branding, PR and communication, but her four passions are football, fashion, London and travelling!   • ADRIAN KILBY, Consultant Creative Director. Adrian is a leading brand consultant with over 20 years experience in the retail, hospitality and professional sectors. He has been responsible for the creation and implementation of many innovative brands, including Prêt A Manger and the Hoxton Hotel.
